Terms of use

Friend Map is run by Conexuns ("we"). By using Friend Map you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

Your account

You sign in with your own phone number and must be at least 18.
Keep your phone and sign-in secure. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
Use your real first name so friends know who you are.

Sharing your location

Your location is only shared when you turn sharing on, and only with the friends and groups you pick.
You can stop sharing at any time. Don't use Friend Map to track anyone without their knowledge.

Events and pools

An organizer can collect money for their event through a pool: a set price per person, a down payment, or each person's part of the bill.
The organizer is the seller. Guests pay the organizer for their spot or for what they ordered. Friend Map is not a party to that purchase, and doesn't hold anyone's money.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Organizers receive money through a Stripe account and agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement when they set up payouts.
Guests pay a service fee to Friend Map (1% of their share, at least $0.24 or the local equivalent), plus the card processing fee and, when the organizer is paid instantly, an instant payout fee. Every fee is shown before you pay.
Organizers must describe their event honestly, spend what they collect on the event, and follow the refund and cancellation rules.

What pools can't be used for

Pools are only for the event itself (spots, food, drinks, activities). They can't be used for:

sending money that isn't for an event, or holding money for someone
gambling, raffles, lotteries, sweepstakes or games of chance
fundraising, donations or crowdfunding
booking travel or transport for others (flights, lodging, tours) without our written approval
drugs, cannabis, weapons, or adult entertainment
anything illegal where the organizer or guests are, or anything else on Stripe's restricted businesses list

We may cancel pools, remove events, and suspend accounts that break these rules.

Being respectful

No harassment, spam, fake accounts or impersonation.
You can block and report people. We review reports and may suspend accounts.

Our responsibility

We work to keep Friend Map running and your information safe, but it's provided as it is, without guarantees. We aren't responsible for events, meetups, or what organizers and guests do. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the fees you paid to Friend Map in the past 12 months.

Ending your account

You can delete your account from Profile at any time. Pool payment records are kept (without your name) as the law and payment rules require.
